Congressman Chris Smith delivered remarks on the floor of the House of Representatives House on Thursday regarding the passing of award-winning journalist Bill Handleman.

Handleman, who had a distinguished career, is most recently known for his comprehensive coverage of the saga of David Goldman of Monmouth County and his ultimately successful attempt to bring his abducted son Sean home to New Jersey from Brazil. Smith nominated Handleman for the Pulitzer Prize for his reporting on the case.
