Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-04) commented on the tragic shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (AZ-08) and other victims killed and injured Saturday in Arizona:

    "My wife Marie and I offer our thoughts and prayers to Congresswoman Giffords and all the shooting victims killed and injured," Smith said. "Our most sincere condolences go out to all the victims and their families, and we pray for the recovery of the injured. This is a sorrowful time for Congress and our country."
