Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-04) met with the staff and hospital visitors at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton in June.

Smith met with Chairwoman of the Board Lynne Cannon, CEO, President Anthony "Skip" Cimino, who is a former NJ State Assemblyman, Board Member Peter Inverso, a former NJ State Senator, and other senior RWJ-Hamilton board members and staff to discuss the hospital's services and health care issues. Later, Smith and congressional staff toured some of the hospital's newly upgraded medical facilities, and met with hospital staff and hospital visitors.

The Congressman, a former Hamilton resident now residing in nearby Robbinsville, also addressed a group of employees and visitors regarding federal issues, including but not limited health care. Afterward he participated in a question-and-answer session, and several people approached him regarding casework.

Congressman Smith chairs several bipartisan health caucuses to promote awareness, adequate funding, legislation, research and congressional support. He is co-chairman of: the Bi-Partisan, Bi-Cameral Congressional Task Force on Alzheimer’s Disease; the Coalition for Autism Research and Education (C.A.R.E.); the Lyme Disease Caucus, and; the Spina Bifida Caucus.
