Cong. Smith Lauds Work of Local Emergency Responders

f t #
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ, Nov 1, 2012 | Jeff Sagnip (609-585-7878) | comments
  • Cong. Smith speaks about the road to recovery from Hurricane Sandy.

Congressman Chris Smith (Robbinsville, NJ) visited numerous areas along the Jersey Shore areas of Monmouth and Ocean counties over the past week which were hammered by Hurricane Sandy.
He offered high praise for the hard work done by local mayors and elected officials, as well as and municipal and county workers responding to the many needs of the public.
Residents seeking guidance or assistance on the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Small Business Administration, utility company or related matter can call Cong. Smith's Mercer-Burlington Office in Hamilton, NJ at (609) 585-7878, or his Monmouth-Ocean Office at (732) 350-2300. Due to power outages, both of these offices have been closed for several days after the hurricane, but are now open.
Constituents are also invited to monitor Cong. Smith's Hurricane Sandy information page, /hurricane/, which is updated regularly and contains links to Federal, State and local resources, and non-government organizations (NGO) assisting in the disaster response.
