  • Cong. Smith is fighting for aid for Sandy victims in the House of Representatives.

Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-04) was a guest on Fox News Channel Jan. 6 to discuss the $9.7 billion the House approved on Jan. 4 to fund the National Flood Insurance Program to aid victims hurt by Superstorm Sandy. He called for support of the two expected votes on Jan. 15 on the remaining supplemental request for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which if passed would bring the total to approximately $60 billion. Smith represents residents of the hard hit areas of Ocean County and Monmouth County in New Jersey, the most densely populated state in the country.
