On the sudden passing of Jackie Walorski and her two staff members Emma Thomson and Zachery Potts

Washington, Aug 4, 2022 | Michael Finan (202-225-3765) | comments

Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) today released the following statement on the sudden passing of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and her two staff members, Emma Thomson and Zachery Potts:

“We mourn the loss of our good friend, Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, who was indefatigable in standing up for the most vulnerable among us. The passion, courage, and love she brought to her work on behalf of unborn babies and their mothers set an example that will not be forgotten. We are also deeply saddened by the passing of two members of her staff, Emma Thomson and Zachery Potts, and gratefully recognize their public service.

Our prayers are with Jackie's husband, Dean Swihart, her family, and all her loved ones during this time of sadness as well as with the families and friends of Emma and Zachery.  We place our trust in the Lord with the hope that they now reside with Him.”
