Senior Members of the House of Representatives today called on USAID to explain new discrepancies reported in the media of US taxpayer money being spent on referendum activities on the proposed Kenyan constitution vote set for Aug. 4.

Senior Members of the House of Representatives Chris Smith (NJ-04) Ranking Member of the House Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL-04) Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Darrell Issa (CA-49), Ranking Member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee and Frank Wolf (VA-10), Ranking Member of the Commerce-Justice-Science Appropriations Subcommittee, today called on USAID to explain new discrepancies reported in the media of US taxpayer money being spent on referendum activities on the proposed Kenyan constitution vote set for Aug. 4.
